Acropolis: Propylaea (impressive entrance gate, 437-432 BC), Parthenon, Temple of Athena Nike, Erechtheum (famous temple); AgorÂ£: west of the Acropolis, once the market-place and the center of the antique town; Attalos Stoa (columned hall, 2nd c. BC, 120 m long); Dionysos Theater; Olympieion (temple, completed in 125 AD); Theseion – the best-preserved temple of Greece (5th c. BC). Modem Athens is characterized by two centers: Om6nia Square and Sintagma Square. In the area between these is also the shopping center of Athens’ inner city.
