					<description><![CDATA[<p>Gaston, Mauricio Miguel (1947-1986). Mauricio Miguel Gaston played a very important role in the struggle for Latino rights in Massachusetts. Born in La Habana, Cuba, on September 10, 1947, Mauricio Gaston migrated to the United States shortly after the Cuban Revolution in 1960. He attended Princeton University, graduating in 1969 with a degree in architecture; he then attended the Harvard University School of Design. In 1981 he received a master&#8217;s degree in city planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He joined the faculty at the Center for Community Planning of the University of Massachusetts College of Public and Community </p>
