The country has been called a cacophony of ethnic groups: Croats, Macedonians, Montenegrins, Serbs, Slovenes, Muslims, Albanians, Hungarians, Turks, Slovaks, Romanies, Bulgarians, Romanians, Ruthenians, Czechs, Italians, Ukranians, Germans and other.
