If you want a quiet and secluded beach in Hong Kong, Chung Hom Kok would be one of the best. Bus no. 6X or no. 66 stops at the beach. Bus no. 66 operates only at restricted time on weekdays. Therefore, bus no. 6X from the bus stop of Admiralty Station, Queensway, is the best one to get Chung Hom Kok Beach.

For BBQ at Chung Hom Kok Beach, you can buy charcoal from a shop at the beach. Therefore, you may prepare BBQ items and foods except charcoal before riding an MTR to Admiralty Station to catch a bus no. 6X.

The reddish brown shop at Chung Hom Kok Beach sells charcoal. Therefore, you don’t need to carry charcoal before riding MTR.

Chung Hom Kok Beach is indicated by a lower red arrow. It is near Stanley . Bus no. 6X or no. 66 departing from Central Exchange Square Bus Terminus goes to Chung Hom Kok Beach via “Admiralty Station, Queensway”. Bus 66 bound for Stanley Plaza, runs at peak time in the morning only on weekdays. On the other hand, bus 6X bound for Stanley Prison runs to Chung Hom Kok Beach every day.

Chung Hom Kok is a calm beach different from Deep Water Bay Beach or Repulse Bay Beach.

Repulse Bay Beach, Chung Hom Kok Beach, Stanley Beach and Turtle Cove Beach are surrounding the giant park of “Tai Tam Country Park” which has beautiful trails and clean BBQ areas. It will be introduced in detail later.

For BBQ at Chung Hom Kok Beach, you can buy charcoal from a shop sitting at the beach. Therefore, you may prepare BBQ items except charcoal before riding an MTR to Admiralty Station to catch a bus no. 6X to Chung Hom Kok Beach.

For a Wellcome superstore, you can use one near MTR North Point Station or Quarry Bay Station introduced at “Deep Water Bay Beach”. Here shows another Wellcome store near MTR Sheung Wan Station MM in consideration that you may stay at Sheung Wan district.

The middle one on the list is a Wellcome store at “Loon Kee Building”near MTR Sheung Wan Station MM . Let’s take a look at the way from the station to the store.

Turn your face to the right when you stand at the exit B of MTR Sheung

Wan Station amd you will find a Wellcome superstore at the ground floor of Loon Kee Building. If you find a Parknshop near the Wellcome superstore, you can collect BBQ items there too.

Turn your face to the right at exit B of MTR Sheung Wan Station and you will find a Wellcome superstore at the ground floor of Loon Kee Building.

You are looking at the right side from the exit B of MTR Sheung Wan Station. You can also buy BBQ items from the Parknshop with a blue signboard seen on the photo. Prepare BBQ items except charcoal and, take a subway to MTR Admiralty Station to catch a bus no. 6X towards Chung Hom Kok Beach.

 

Way to Chung Hom Kok Beach

Take a bus no. 6X or no. 66 from the bus stop of “Admiralty Station, Queensway” and drop at Chung Hom Kok Beach. Bus no. 66 runs at the peak time in the morning on weekdays only. It departs Central Exchange Square Bus Terminus at 07:00, 07:30, 08:02, 08:55 in the morning. And, it resumes operation at 15:20 pm until 19:30 pm with 25 minutes headway. Its destination is Stanley Plaza which is one stop before Stanley Village, the gateway to Stanley Beach. Bus no. 66 does not stop at Deep Water Bay Beach.

Bus no. 6X, the best one for Chung Hom Kok Beach, runs to Stanley Prison every day via “Admiralty Station, Queensway”, “Deep Water Bay”, “Chung Hom Kok Beach” and “Stanley Village”. Here introduces the way to the beach from “Admiralty Station, Queensway” which is located around 30 meters away to the right when you stand exit C1 of MTR Admiralty Station.

MTR Admiralty Station M$£ is also next to Wan Chai Station.

Take a 6X or a 66 here and get off at “Chung Hom Kok Beach”. The destination of bus no. 6, 6A, 6X, 66 and 260 which are posted on the signpost standing at the bus stop, are all Stanley. Out of these buses, only no. 6X and no. 66 drop at Chung Hom Kok Beach.

Way to return to the bus stop.
