Mirror Lake Park, Tourist Information Centre, and Bill Fowler Centre
Location: 5402-48th Avenue, Camrose.
Located on the north side of Highway 13 (48th Avenue) at the Bill Fowler Centre in Mirror Lake Park, the Camrose Tourist Information Centre honours the city's strong Scandinavian history with a half-scale replica of the Viking longship that carried Vikings around the world and brought Leif Eriksson to North America in about 1000 AD.
The Visitor Information Centre contains interpretive panels that describe park features and city history and a nature mural sculpted out of red brick. More than three kilometres of paved and lit walking paths encircle Mirror Lake and lead to various picnic sites, outdoor sculptures, historical and educational trail signs, a playground, and public washrooms.
