Experts visit Saint Lucia to explore what makes it so popular for destination weddings. Saint Lucia made its own commitment to romance by hosting the frst ever Saint Lucia Wedding Symposium, Love Elevated, at Sandals Grande St. Lucian Spa & Beach Resort this September.
The event, spearheaded by the Saint Lucia Tourist Board, drew wedding industry and travel professionals from Saint Lucia, North America and the United Kingdom to experience what has made the island the Caribbean’s leading destination for weddings and honeymoons for the past 10 years. Saint Lucia has won the Caribbean’s Leading Honeymoon Destination four times and World’s Leading Honeymoon Destination nine times at The World Travel Awards.
The foremost wedding experts, including representatives from Destination Weddings & Honeymoons, David’s Bridal and MyWedding.com, presented trends in the bridal market and destination wedding industry. Wedding planners, caterers, forists, photographers, spas and resorts were on hand to exhibit. The event culminated with a staged wedding at Pigeon Island National Landmark.
