Transfer from Airport If you’re heading directly to Phuket, then you might skip this small chapter, but it gives you some useful information in case you stay over a couple of days on your way to Phuket or in case you stay in Bangkok on your way back.

Airport Link

This is a very cheap and stress free way of transportation if you don’t carry tons of luggage’s with you. Simply follow the signs Airport Link or take the lift to the lowest floor. Best choice if your Bangkok hotel is located nearby a Sky train station.

The Airport Link at Phayatai Terminal

Pros: Stress free, no traffic jams, safe, no drunken taxi drives, cheap, no arguing with taxi driver Cons: Only operates from 6am to 12pm

You have to change to the Sky train (same station as Airport link terminates) where you have to buy another ticket (approx. 25b depending on your destination). Check the map below, it’s easy don’t worry.

Costs are:

Slow Connection: 45baht (approx. 1.5 $ / Euros) for the city Line which brings you in 30 minutes to

Phaya Thai from where you change to the Sky train which brings you throughout the city.

90 baht for the Express Link which simply skips the stations that City line also serves and you’re within 17 Minutes in Phaya Thai Terminal station where you change to the Sky train which brings you throughout the city.
