These are arranged chronologically (how else?) from 1983 onwards, so you can track the progressive funkiness of the watches. Mine was boggled by Keith Haring designs, special Christmas watches, Stop-Swatches.. .you get the idea.
Watch (no pun intended) for special happenings, like Design a Swatch contests for kids. Access to the museum is through the Swatch store on the second floor; although Swatches themselves ain’t cheap, the exhibit is free. Open Mondays through Saturdays from 10 AM. to 8 P.M.; Sundays from 12-5 P.M.

Charlestown; (617) 426-1812 Old Ironsides is the world’s oldest warship still commissioned though it’s hard to imagine her seeing battle at this point. Inside the adjacent museum are exhibits detailing maritime life in the early nineteenth century. Artifacts in the collection include clothing, photographs, paintings, rare coins, and gadgets. The museum theater features a video tour of the ship. Open daily; hours vary by season. Admission is $4; $3 for seniors, $2 for kids age six to sixteen. On weekends, kids under sixteen are admitted free! That makes history both fun and cheap.
