CROWDER’S MOUNTAIN STATE PARK
Situated amid the King Mountain Range in the southwest corner of the state, this park includes 1,625-foot Crowder’s Mountainwith steep cliffs, rock formations, other rugged scenery, and some great views. There’s also a 9-acre lake.
Activities: The park has over 10 miles of trails for hiking or backpacking. Difficulty varies from easy to strenuous. Rock climbing is also permitted. Fishing is available at the lake.
Camping Regulations: Primitive camping is restricted to one backpack camping area, a mile from the park office. Campfires are allowed in the fire circles provided. Campers must first register at the office, and a fee is charged for each night.
