STILLWATER NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE/STILLWATER WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT AREA
This National Wildlife Refuge and adjacent state Wildlife Management Area in west-central Nevada are noted for their abundant and diverse waterfowl. It’s a relatively flat region which includes a large number of lakes and reservoirs, along with extensive marshlands and some desert vegetation.
Activities: There are no formal trails, although some foot-travel is possible. Extensive fishing is available. Seasonal hunting is allowed in the Wildlife Management Area but not in the National Wildlife Refuge.
Camping Regulations: Camping is permitted in the state Wildlife Management Area as well as in a portion of the National Wildlife Refuge. No permits are required.
