Best Travel Destinations At Christmas

Throughout this my blog, I will provide details of my own travels which will serve as the framework on which I will endeavour to build my argument why you must consider travel as a very vital aspect of your lifestyle.

Hopefully, a glance at my list below will do the trick of helping to put the fire of travel in your belly.

If I could do it, so can you. In fact, the odds are more on your side now than they were on mine then; and, despite this, I must confess that I did well. Why? Because I had, from very early in life, the burning desire to travel beyond my home horizon.

Looking back, as I write this, I have actually been to Ephesus twice to visit the house where, it’s said, Mary the Mother of our Lord Jesus lived out her last days.

I have seen the spectacular changing of the guard at the presidential palace in Turkey, twice; been to Rome, St. Peter’s Square and Naples twice; to Florence and the Leaning Tower of Pisa; to the Principality of Monaco; to Paris and Nice in Southern France; and, I overnighted twice in Barcelona, Spain.

I was to Stonehenge twice. The internet says “the ring of standing stones” at Wiltshire, “is surely Britain’s greatest national icon, symbolizing mystery, power and endurance. Its original purpose is unclear to us, but some have speculated that it was a temple made for the worship of ancient earth deities. It has been called an astronomical observatory for marking significant events on the prehistoric calendar”.
