Or, more accurately, Boston Sculptors at Chapel Gallery. A co-operative society of some twenty local sculptors present their own works on a regular basis at this church. All are well-respected artists on the New England scene; many are graduates and/or instructors at the Museum School of the MFA. According to coordinator Anne McQueen, this is an alternative venue for art that’s not available through Boston’s commercial centers. They’re noted for their creative use of the large gallery space, often displaying works outdoors as well as in. No wonder the Chapel Gallery has made The Boston
Globe’s Ten Best in Visual Arts roll call. The schedule also includes frequent gallery talks by the artists.
Exhibits usually change on a monthly basis, except in summer, when the gallery takes a hiatus; regular hours are Wednesdays through Sundays from 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
