Their bread goes to the supermarkets and restaurants all over the city; but if you’re near Southie, you can stop in and get some for less. Onion rolls are sort of a specialty of the house, at 350 each; a dozen of these aromatic treats costs $4.20 here about a buck less than in supermarkets. Loaves of rye bread are also lower here. The shop serves sandwiches and soups, as well as pastries; G & F no longer makes its own sweets, but the ones they sell are good! Open from 5:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. seven days a week.
