BANKS and CURRENCY EXCHANGE. Most banks are open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays to Fridays. If you arrive on the weekend be sure to change some money before leaving the airport, where currency exchange offices are always open.
Banks usually prefer to change only small sums of foreign money. Make sure you also have some bills in small denominations for taxis or toll bridges.
You may be able to change money at your hotel, though you probably won’t get the same rate as in a bank. See also Credit Cards and Travellers’ Cheques.
