Recognized as one of the top 10 water-skiing facilities in the world, Shalom Park is a constructed lake in the natural landscape of the North Saskatchewan River valley. The park is owned by Ken Nelson, a Canadian champion water-skier who has set several national records. Many of the most prestigious national and international tournaments have been held here. Even if you do not water-ski, a visit to Shalom Park provides a pleasant picnic site with some potentially spectacular water-skiing entertainment, especially during tournaments. You will find a large deck with tables and chairs and lots of room on the dock. You do not have to be club member to visit, and you can even ski or ask to ride in a tow boat for a closer look at the sport.
