ST. GEORGE ISLAND STATE PARK MAP FLORIDA
1,883 acres. Accessible by highway, this island park is located in the Gulf of Mexico. It has over nine miles of lovely beaches and dunes, some marshes, and pine and oak forests.
Activities: Hiking and backpacking are possible on a 2.7-mile trail, as well as along the beaches.
Camping Regulations: Primitive camping is limited to one designated area at Gap Point, overlooking a bay, at the end of the 2.7-mile trail. Campfires are allowed. Water must be carried in. Maximum number of campers allowed at one time is 12. Reservations are not available. Campers must register and pay a small fee at the time of entry. Pets are prohibited.
