We’re at poon hill, metres, freezing cold but fantastic views.

Those mountains are over, metres high and they’ve got snow on them and it’s cold I’m at, metres and it’s cold but I’m on a place called poon hill, which is on the Annapurna walking circuit or trekking circuit. : a.m, struggled out from under a nice cozy duvet, put on all the warmest clothes actually I have put on all the clothes I had, gloves, hats, everything.

Struggled up here in the dark, it’s quite a steep hike, takes about an hour to get here in the dark but then set up and there’s a place up here serving hot tea, so I had hot tea, which warmed my fingers a little bit and then watched the sunrise. It was beautiful all the hard struggle and getting out of bed first thing in the morning was forgotten as I watched the sunrise, so have a look at this, this is what happened, it is so beautiful. And now I’m just, absorbing the last bits before I go down and get my breakfast, I’ve no idea what time it is, it’s light, it might be O’clock, O’clock I haven’t got a clue but here I am on poon hill.

One of those mountains is Annapurna I (one), that’s another mountain, but they’re all absolutely beautiful and fantastic, it is so spectacular. It’s really beautiful, here’s my guide, come on, come on, come on here say hello, who helped me get out of bed this morning, helped to carry my bags and he had the light because I just followed him up, say hello to everybody, hey. Alright can you explain to me the mountains, that’s Annapurna I? Oh here’s Annapurna fang, Annapurna fang, it’s known as Annapurna fang.

Annapurna South, there’s lot of mountains. Lot of mountains here and they’re like, that was, metres,, metres. So this gorge you see, this is considered the deepest gorge in the world because it, it is start from this gorge’s start,, metre mountain on this right hand side and then another, meter mountain on the left hand side.

And it goes down to sea level at the bottom? So, to, metres, so considering the deepest gorge in the world. So the gorge between these mountains is over kilometres deep, there’s no way I’m gonna hike that and live anyway. Now folks can you imagine going from all the way up there, down there and up there, that’s crazy! Okay, now I’m gonna walk down and get breakfast and get my fingers warm, back with you later.

Here we go, oops. ‘Thank you for your visit’. ‘See you again’.

I hope so, but not on this trek. Well, heading off, day of trekking and today so far has started with going down some steps but that hasn’t lasted long. Here we’re going up steps again, my calves.

But it’s another beautiful day, even though we’re at quite a high temperature. The sun has now, got quite strong, so a bit of warmth in the sun, so I’m back into a t-shirt, there we go t-shirt, no hat, no scarf compared to this morning when it was freezing up at poon hill and I had everything, everything I owned, I was wearing. Now I’m heading out on the day’s trek, off from a nice full breakfast got, a full belly, we had tea, omelette, pancakes.

Now it’s time to shoulder the pack, get hiking I think we’ve got or hours ahead of us, so lets get going. Let’s hope the scenery, is beautiful as yesterday and let’s hope there’s less steps but I get the feeling there’s more uphill to go. Those steps go on forever, look here, at least until as far as I can see, when you go around the corner, you gonna bet your bottom dollar, when you get around that corner, there will be another equally long set of steps.

Hi folks, hope, you’re having a great day and I hope you’re having a fantastic time like I am. Now despite all the trekking, the hiking, we’ve gone up too many stairs and we’ve less stairs now, we on to like, a path like this you can see here, so in some ways it’s a bit easier on the legs because you know, you don’t go step, step, step which I’ve, I’ve walked a million steps in these last few days. But in other ways, it’s a bit more taxing on your ankles because the ground isn’t so stable underneath it’s a bit slippy, there’s leaves and rocks, you have to watch your ankles but I’m still here, I’m still alive and I’ve still got some energy, the first part of the actual trekking today, I struggled I was, I was bit tired from , ate too much breakfast again, but you never eat too much breakfast and it was uphill on the stone steps, it was quite hard on the foot.

My legs were telling me, you need to be fitter than this, mate and I was testing me lungs out. But I pushed on, that’s all you can do its all in the mind, push on, push through the pain and then we actually got to a higher altitude, that’s the other thing I’m struggling with at the higher altitude we’re over, meters now, a,, metres-ish we’re at, that’s starting to take on your lungs a bit but I got to a nice little spot. And I sat down and I did a bit of yoga, stretched my legs, stretch, my back got my breathing and the last hour has been much better getting into the swing of it, so hoping I’m gonna carry that on through the rest today because we’ve got another to hours of trekking depending on the pace and how many times I stop to, take pictures Got to do that haven’t you? How are you guys gonna see if I don’t stop to take pictures, hey? Exactly, so looking forward to that, we are actually the sunrise you saw this morning, that big peak Annapurna I (one) or Annapurna oh I can’t remember now I get the names all muddles up.

We’re actually, now going around that to a base camp on the other side of that mountain, that’s our hike, So we’ve got a bit of down and a bit of up. Namaste. Namaste, .

It’s lunchtime somewhere, where are? Banthati We’re at Banthati I’m none the wiser and I’ve got a nice big plate of spaghetti and cheese and masala tea and a view over the river. Nearly dropped the camera then We’re gonna rock down to electric avenue. Yep, got the music going, oh and it helps, as well as the absolute beauty I’ve got here.

We’re gonna rock down to electric avenue and then we’re climbing higher, higher, rock down to electric avenue and now were climbing higher. Way too much higher, oh but it’s gorgeous, woo-hoo. Got a view over there, haha, Oops, Sorry not the view up there, the view there.

Beautiful, okay battery conserving, film and battery..
