Chasing Barnes & Noble all around the country with superstores of its own, Borders’ newest and glitziest store is in Chestnut Hill’s equally glitzy Atrium Mall about the only place Mine can be seen in there. But this chain is wonderful for browsing, and they do offer similar discounts to B & N. New York Times hardcover bestsellers are always 30% off; nearly all other hardcovers are 10% off. A dozen or more staff recommendations also get the 30% treatment.
