BEAR HEAD LAKE STATE PARK MAP MINNESOTA

4,000 acres. This state park in northeastern Minnesota has rolling hills and some rocky terrain. It’s dominated by scenic 674-acre Bear Head Lake and several other lakes. The park’s wildlife includes white-tailed deer, moose, and black bear.

Activities: There are several miles of trails for hiking and backpacking, and also the Taconite State Trail, which is open to horseback riding as well. Canoeing and fishing are possible on the lakes, with canoes available for rental. Hunting is prohibited.

Cam ping Regulations: Camping is limited to five backpack campsites, which are located along the trails next to three of the lakes.
