It’s impossible to pass the colorful window displays of Maddi’s without venturing inside. Each piece in the gallery, from the whimsical tin roosters and folk-art clocks to the abstract paintings and ceramic face jugs, have one thing in common: color. There are no stark walls; the entire space is a cacophony of hues. Voted Best New Gallery in America by Niche magazine, Maddi’s specializes in American craft and Southern folk art. Though there are a few exceptions, most of the work is surprisingly affordable.
