Bova’s has many varieties of breads and pastries, baked on the premises. Prices are as good as the aroma:
Get a loaf of sliced Scali bread for $1.60, or crusty French bread for $1.25; plus Vienna, sourdough, and more. There’s plenty of it: In an average night, Bova bakes 2,430 braided rolls and 500 French baguettes, using over 2,000 pounds of flour. It’s fantastic stuff. Best of all, the shop is open 24 hours a day! Bravo!

Her single steel propeller was powered by a three-cylinder, triple-expansion steam engine that developed 249-hp using two boilers and her machinery was manufactured by North East Marine Engineering Co.
