Brookline Public Library Programs US Map & Phone & Address
361 Washington St. Brookline; (617) 730-2368
Every Wednesday at 2 and 7:30 P.M. film buff Ted Kingsbury shows classic films upstairs in the main branch of the library in Brookline Village.
He’s been doing it for years, putting together a different theme each month and introducing the films himself. It’s clearly a labor of love, and the choices are terrific from the well-known to obscure gems. The themes may be tributes to stars or directors, or simply Romantic Comedies. He runs a similar program on Thursdays, also at 2 and 7:30 pm. at the Wellesley Free Library, 530 Washington St, Wellesley; (617)235-1610.
On a similar note, films for senior citizens (but hey, anyone can go) are shown every Thursday at the Coolidge Corner Branch Library.
31 Pleasant St. Brookline; (617) 730-2380. These can include anything from An Evening with the Royal Ballet to The Way We Were. Refreshments are at 1 P.M.; movies at 1:30.
