How bout it a Back Bay eatery that doesn’t try to bilk you for all you’ve got! This attractive coffee shop serves up soups, salads, sandwiches, quiches and, of course, pastries in a setting that is both relaxed and elegant, facing the Public Garden. Most menu items come in a cation every Wednesday night from 6 p.m. to 9 P.M. Yes folks, it’s the all-you-can-eat hot Buffalo wing buffet. For $5.20 you can chow down as much as your tongue can take. (This event must be the reason for the large sink in the middle of the room.) Try it if you dare! Open weeknights until midnight, Fridays til 1:30 A.M. and Saturdays til 2:30 a.m. choice of sizes. Turkey sandwiches are $2.50 for a small and $5.20 for a large. Quiche Lorraine makes a more refined lunch or dinner choice, and is reasonably priced at $2.95 small, $4.25 large. Plenty of salad offerings, from traditional to tabouleh, many around two bucks. Stop in and grab a quick bite for breakfast, too. Muffins are a good bet for 900, and the coffee is wonderful.
Bistro-style tables and fresh flower centerpieces give a feeling of refinement without being stuffy. The cafe is open seven days for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, closing up around 9 p.m. (11 p.m. on Saturdays and 7 p.m. Sundays).
