CLOUDLAND CANYON STATE PARK
Located on the edge of Lookout Mountain, in the northwest corner of Georgia, Cloudland Canyon State Park has elevations as high as 1,800 feet. Included are ridges and valleys, with a deep canyon gorge, a large creek, and waterfalls. The forest consists of mixed hardwoods and some conifers.
Activities: Hiking and backpacking are available on 11 miles of trails, including a 6-mile Back-country Trail.
Camping Regulations: Two primitive camping areas are located along the Backcountry Trail. It’s necesssary to register prior to starting and to check out before leaving the park. A small fee is charged for camping each night.
