Da Nang is a city that can be easily explored on foot, but if you want to get out and see some of the surrounding countryside, you’ll need a car. Here’s a guide to getting around Da Nang by car.
The best way to get around Da Nang is by renting a car. There are plenty of rental agencies in the city, but some of our favorites include Avis, Budget, and Hertz. You can either rent a car for a day or for several days. It’s important to understand that there are two types of roads in Da Nang: the expressway and the ordinary street. The expressway is toll-free and can take you anywhere you want to go; however, the ordinary street is not toll-free and may not be as fast as the expressway.
If you’re just visiting Da Nang for a day or two, we recommend renting a small car. A larger car may be more convenient if you plan on exploring more of the city, but it will also cost more money. If you’re looking to explore the countryside outside of Da Nang, we recommend renting a convertible or an SUV.
