Saudi Arabia has two main religious holidays. The first is Eid ul-Adha, or “Feast of the Sacrifice.” This joyful celebration can last several days. The other is Eid ul-Fitr, or “Feast of the Breaking of the Fast.” It comes at the end of the month of Ramadan. During Ramadan, Muslims go without eating, or fast, from sunrise to sunset.
Saudis also celebrate on September 23. This is the day Saudi Arabia became a country under that name.
