Art exhibits may focus on a particular culture, or spotlight a single emerging artist. Admission to the galleries is free; hours are Tuesdays through Fridays, from 11 A.M. to 4 P.M.
Join in the celebration with your ears as well as your eyes. Fall is festival time, when every week offers one or two concerts by the area’s rich reserve of talented musicians. The music ranges from salsa to choral jazz; admission is either pay what you can or a small fee of $5 or so.
Other events include the annual Comic Auction, held every November; no, they’re not selling Spider-Man posters this is a full-fledged auction run by comedians! Plus lectures, holiday events, family activities, and classes for children and adults. Most of these require admission or session fees, all very reasonably priced.
