How to Arrive at the Airport

Las Cruces is located in the southern region of New Mexico and is about an hour from El Paso, Texas. The city is situated on the banks of the Rio Grande and is known for its agricultural production. You can fly into Las Cruces from a variety of U.S. airports, including Albuquerque, Phoenix, and Dallas/Fort Worth.

If you are driving from the east or west coasts of the U.S., take I-10 to NM-314 and follow it to Las Cruces. If you’re coming from the north or south, take US-84 to El Paso and drive to Las Cruces on NM-314. From Mexico City, take Highway 55 south to Chihuahua City then follow signs to NM-314.

If you are arriving by train, take Amtrak’s Sunset Limited from Los Angeles or San Francisco to Santa Fe then catch a bus or taxi to Las Cruces. The train station is about a mile north of downtown on 5th Street.

Las Cruces has two major commercial airports: Las Cruces International Airport (LAS) and Dona Ana County Airport (DON). LAS is larger and more modern but DON has direct flights to more.
