The Leventhal-Sidman JCC is a hub for Boston's Jewish cultural activity. The Starr Gallery mounts regular art exhibitions relating to Jewish history or its cultural heritage; recently, works by contemporary painters looking back at the Holocaust as well as an exhibit of postage stamps from that era, were on display. The interactive A Walk Through Jerusalem, took you and your children to the Holy Land. Most of these shows are free; some do charge a small admission fee for non-members.
The center is also home to the Jewish Theatre of New England, which performs two professional shows a year, and hosts six other shows by other troupes.
