9, 250 acres. Located in west-central Minnesota, Maplewood State Park has hilly terrain with some prairie, forests of hardwoods, plus cedar and tamarack, and many lakes and ponds. Wildlife includes white-tailed deer.
Activities; There are 25 miles of trails for hiking and backpacking. About 15 miles are open to horseback riding, and 17 miles of trails are groomed for cross-country skiing.

Canoeing is possible on some of the lakes.
Camping Regulations; Camping and campfires are restricted to three designated backpack camping areas. Two of these areas are next to lakes and useable by canoe-campers as well.
