Milan Half-Day Sightseeing Tour with da Vinci’s The Last Supper

This post I’m going on the Milan Sightseeing Tour where I’m gonna see all the best in Milan including the Duomo, the castle, the Gallery, and Leonardo Da Vinci’s Last Supper. This castle was built in the 14th century for the Sforza family, and at the time they were the most powerful family here. And this was also the political center of Milan. I’m standing in back of the castle, and here is the largest park in MIlan. At the end of the park is the Peace Arch, which was built during the time of Napoleon as a symbolic connection between Milan and Paris. I’m outside Santa Maria delle Grazie, and this is where the Last Supper is.

Unfortunately, there’s no posting allowed, so I’ll go in and come out and tell you all about it. What’s so fascinating about it is that you could actually see the emotions on the people’s faces in the painting.

Imagine this postcard, covering the entire side of this church, that’s how big this painting is. We’re headed inside the Duomo now and I’m excited to see this. I’ve heard it’s absolutely beautiful inside. Wow, this is incredible.

There’s huge high ceilings, very narrow pathway, all these beautiful stain glass windows. I’m walking through the Vittorio Emanuele Gallery and it’s just stunning, there are these huge ceilings with light.

This is considered Milan’s living room. It connects the Duomo to the theater, it’s the walkway between them. I’m standing in the foyer to the theater and it’s filled with these chandeliers and these statues of composers and then we enter the theater and it’s this classical theater with these velvet seats and box seats, it’s really beautiful. There are all kinds of traditions in Italy and one of them in Milan is you put your heel on this bull and you spin around, and if you do it means you’re gonna come back to Milan.
