The bus ($4) goes to the East Side Airlines Terminal at First Avenue and 37th Street (tel. 697-3374). Buses run frequently, about every 20 minutes. From the East Side Terminal you’ll take a taxi to your destination since there is no subway station nearby.
Departing visitors should get to the terminal it* good time; during rush hour it may take up to one hour to reach Kennedy airport. If you go by bus, tell the driver which airline you’re flying with so he’ll know the terminal to let you off at.
Porters ask 50-75 cents per bag.
Duty-free shops offer a wide range of articles. Your purchase will be delivered directly to the departure gate where you’ll pick it up when boarding. Most shops refuse to take any orders less than half an hour before the take-off of your flight.
