This number will be the baseline. Then, each day leading up to the wedding, add two more squats, Califano suggests. The benefi t? You’ll lose inches from your legs and waist, and your body will burn more calories.

Using a 12- to 15-pound medicine ball, stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, holding the ball with both hands above your head. Slam the ball down to the ground, holding on with both hands, and then raise it back above your head. Repeat the move for 30 to 45 seconds.
