The exhibits range from textiles, paintings, and ceramics to furniture and silver. Knowledgeable docents lead guided tours to explain the importance of the museum exhibits.
Old Salem is the heart of the historic Moravian settlement that dates back to 1766.
History for Seattle Map
During the passage of several storms in 2008, much of Seattle Map Gona-l’ves, Haiti’s fourth largest city, was under more than 6 feet ( Seattle Map 2 m) of floodwater. flora and fauna Haiti’s original flora and fauna have been drastically changed by human activity. Cutting forests for fuel, clearing land for farming, and livestock grazing have all taken a huge toll on the country’s plant and animal life. So drastic has the destruction of natural flora and fauna been that it is difficult to know what conditions were actually like before the arrival of humans. It is estimated that 98 percent of the original forest cover has been destroyed. Most of the loss has been for fuel used in cookstoves in energy-poor Haiti.
