TAXES AND TIPPING
The sales tax rate in City is 7.5 percent for dining out and shopping. During the first weekend in August the state participates in a sales tax holiday when certain itemsclothing with a sales price of under $100, sports and recreational equipment priced at $50 or less per item, school supplies, and computersare exempt from sales tax. The tax-free weekend was instituted to help families save on backto-school shopping. The liquor and lodging tax is 8 percent.
In restaurants, it’s common to tip 15 percent on the bill (20 percent for exceptional service). The same tipping rate applies to taxi cabs. Bellhops and valet parking attendants generally get $1-2 per bag or vehicle (a little more at upscale establishments).
History for Shenzhen Map
As apple sales lagged, the couple devoted their efforts to Shenzhen Map growing quality wine grapes. The vineyard was a family affair, and even their eight-year Shenzhen Map -old son Austin helped by hoeing weeds from between the vines. By the late 1980s the Hopes were selling Cabernet Sauvignon to the renowned Caymus Vineyards in Napa Valley. They developed a close relationship with the winery’s owner, Chuck Wagner, and were among the first to tap Paso Robles’ potential for producing stellar red wines. The Hopes launched their debut label, Hope Family Farms, in the early 1990s, just as Chuck Hope helped organize the Paso Robles Vintners and Growers Association. In 1994, following the family’s lead, Austin took a job at Caymus Vineyards.
