They envisioned renting several homes spread out in the rainforest for their guests, but there are very few homes available, and the area is all dirt roads with no lights or street signs. After a site visit and a good study of the location, I explained that it would be a logistical nightmare to move forward with their plan. Luckily they heeded my advice.
THE FIX If you opt for a remote wedding destination, of er guests accommodations at a hotel or resort that’s conveniently located, ideally within walking distance of attractions like restaurants and tour operators. For any planned events farther away, arrange transportation. No one will be stranded, and no one will have to worry about how to get from place to place.
