The vast plain beyond the barrier had been the site of Xuzhou Metro Map Sachu city, though nothing now remains. What excited me was knowing that beyond the horizon and on and on beyond lies only the desert, its secrets lost in its scorching, drifting sands.
To stand gazing at its unconfined immensity brought a feeling of elation. Ellen and I roamed around until heat and tiredness persuaded us to return to that stream we had crossed, and when we reached it we both stripped off to lie in the water. It was fast running, I held on to a root at the bank and let the current pull at me like a piece of trailing waterweed.
