DMZ and JSA Panmunjom Tour from Seoul

This post I’m looking forward to learning about the Korean War, and visiting one of the most unique places in the world, the border between South and North Korea. At Imjingak Park there are several monuments and statues honoring the Korean War. At the nearby Dora Observatory, look through binoculars to the other side of the Demarcation Line. You can observe daily life in a small North Korean village from afar. Dorasan Station is the northernmost stop on South Korea’s railway line.

At the Third Infiltration Tunnel, you can see the very tunnels build by Korean soldiers in attempt to invade the south before the signing of the armistice. OK, so right now we’re just taking a little stop for lunch. And then we’ll be heading over to the JSA where we’ll actually get to step foot into North Korea. You could really feel the tension in the JSA. Here, soldiers stand on both sides of this invisible line, and just stare each other down. Nowhere is the tension more palpable between the North and the South. All right, I just got back from the DMZ to Seoul, and I’ve got a little souvenir to remember my trip.
