Taking up three storefronts’ worth of Allston’s furniture mile, Laughing Alley carries the upscale bicycle brands like Mongoose, Trek, and Barracuda at competitive prices. A Trek mountain bike with an aluminum frame was marked down from $870 to $750. A similar bike by Miyata, originally $650, was on sale for $530. Several kids’ choices as well. The sales staff is very friendly, laid-back, and knowledgeable.
Laughing Alley also carries in-line skates at discount; previous year’s models are marked down as much as 25%, reducing a pair of Bauer blades from $230 to $175. They also have clothing, much of which again is clearance stuff at 25% to 85% off. Jerseys from $5, lycra shorts from $12, and more. Open seven days a week.
