ACCOMMODATIONS

To sleep easy, come to Nice with reservations. Hotels fill up quickly, especially in the summertime, so book at least a few weeks in advance. The city has two clusters of budget accommodations near the train station and near Vieux Nice. Those by the station are newer but less centrally located, and the walk home at night can be unsettling for those traveling alone. Hotels closer to Vieux Nice are more convenient but tend to be less modem.
