This post’s an exciting day. I’m going to go see every single sight in San Francisco on the Hop-On Hop-Off bus tour. Let’s Go! Welcome to San Francisco, yeah, yeah. So the first stop of the day on the Hop-On Hop-Off tour is the Golden Gate Bridge, and I must say, this thing is even more impressive in real life than it is on tv. Here we are right in the middle of Chinatown, and this is actually the largest Chinatown outside of Asia.

I just jumped off the bus, and I’m at the corner of Haight and Ashbury, the two most famous streets in all of San Francisco. And this is the spot, back in the sixties, where all the counter-culture began, music, drugs, sex, and rock and roll.

I am in the heart of Golden Gate Park right now, and this is where all the action happens. Right over here we have the California Academy of Sciences, across the way we have the de Young Museum, and actually the oldest Japanese Tea Garden in all of America. I just got off the bus once again. I’m here at the Fisherman’s Wharf and there are a mountain of things to do.

Any tourist here can have a really good time. So there is the famous Alcatraz, shrouded in a cloud of fog, as normal. It’s a beautiful day and we’re on our way to Alcatraz. It’s a place I’ve heard about since I was a little kid, but I’ve never actually seen it in person. We’re right outside Alcatraz Prison, and it’s pretty stunning. There’s these gorgeous, colorful flowers, seagulls nesting, you’re surrounded by nature. And it’s a crazy contrast from inside. If I was a prisoner here, this would have been my cell. Even my apartment in New York was bigger than this.

I can’t imagine being a prisoner in Alcatraz because every single day you are surrounded by these beautiful views of San Francisco, including the Golden Gate Bridge, and you’re stuck on the rock. Aw man, San Francisco has been so much fun. This is definitely one of America’s best cities. Glad to have ya here, in San Francisco.
