Trekking The Torres Del Paine Circuit in Patagonia Chile

I started hiking in Torres Del Paine and visiting the first highlights in Lago Pehoe and De Valle Frances in the last post. Now I continue my hiking adventure by heading over to the highlight of the national park, the famous Torres and I will get really wet before reaching Campamento Seron on day number. Day three I had a fresh cold shower in Los Cuernos the campsite for the night. Today I will head to the base of the towers, the Campamento Torres to see tomorrow, in the morning, the towers in the sunrise. The trek is about twenty kilometers today and it starts pretty good. I spent the morning walking along the Lago Nordernskjöld in the sunshine enjoying wide views before walking into the valley called Valle Ascencio. After the lunch break at the popular Refugio Chileno I kept on walking uphill to the free campsite Campamento Torres where I’ve been the first one to set up his tent today. Because I arrived so early, I even had enough time to get to the Torres earlier than expected and this has been simply overwhelming.

I made it to the Torres Del Paine, the highlight of the trip here in the National Park Torres Del Paine. Amazing! The Torres Del Paine are the peaks of the mountain range called Cerro Paine. They extend, meters above sea level. Day number four and I already look really fucked up. It was raining during the night and my tent is wet, my sleeping bag is wet. I was at the Torres. There was a sunrise but not on the Torres as I expected it. So I am pretty lucky that I had some footage from yesterday. So, now I will continue to the campsite which is named Seron which is twenty kilometers away from here. I hope to dry my stuff there. Down there is Las Torres. It is half-way to Seron where we will walk today. Luckily, the weather became better. Together with the strong Patagonian winds I was able to dry all my stuff by putting it around my backpack. After hiking next to the river Rio Paine most of the time, I finished this long day at the Campamento Seron. In the last part, I will hike the longest stretch up to the glacier area. I will celebrate reaching the top of the pass with new friends, and I will show you the impressive Southern Patagonian Ice Field. Follow along. Hasta pronto. If you missed it, watch also the first part and comment to my blog. Furthermore, I’ve prepared the complete hiking guide for all the itineraries. Simply follow the link below this post.
