On the other side of the world, a group of countries make up an area called the Middle East. The Middle East is located in the southwestern part of the continent of Asia. That’s near where Asia meets with the continent of Africa.
Saudi Arabia is surrounded by seven different countries. It is also surrounded on two sides by bodies of water the Persian Gulf and the Red Sea.
This picture gives us a flat look at Earth. Saudi Arabia is inside the red circle. ma know?

Two hundred metres north ofthe cliffface, the reeftop shelves gently down to between 15 and 18 metres where there is not much of interest apart from a few urchins and little spider crabs. The rocks lack the life that they have closer to the drop-off. The undulating seabed has very few gullies and the kelp is short and becomes much sparser the deeper you go. Further north, the reef shelves away and levels out onto a stony seabed at 35 metres with exceptionally strong currents. There may possibly be a few scallops and queenies in the deep water, because the scallop dredgers from Seahouses work in those depths, but a fair bit of pre-planning would be required to gather them. Depth to the reef is about 12-15 metres with the kelp thinning out but, at the reef edge, the sides slope down in large steps with a number ofinteresting crevices leading down to the bottom at 20 metres: this whole area is one big blanket of colourful anemones. It is a beautiful sight when the sun is shining, because the different colours reflect the light back, making the place like a garden of bright yellow flowers. The reef runs north-south in the same direction as the tide and this means that there is no shelter from the tremendous current. Definitely a slack water dive. Moving east from dive, the seabed at 25 metres is still a carpet of anemones but there is no cover from the rip tide, which is caused by the water being funnelled in between the two buses of Whirl Rocks.
