Sculptor: unknown
The Trades House constitutes one of the four major buildings designed by the Adam brothers for Glasgow in the 1790s; it is the only one to have survived completely intact. Adorned by panels showing griffins on either side of a central urn, it also features an armorial group.

Hutchesons Hall 158 Ingram Street
Statues of George and Thomas Hutcheson and Clock Tower Spire
Sculptor: James Colquhoun
The Hutchesons were landowners, moneylenders and notaries, and are considered general benefactors of Glasgow. Both brothers unfortunately died before the completion of the Hutchesons Hospital, which they founded. George Hutcheson’s date of death includes an unfortunate blunder, with the last two digits having been accidentally reversed.
