Football is very popular with many stadia suitable for football playing.
Tennis courts exist in nearly all hotels while special tennis centers function in all towns.
Horse-riding is confined at the moment in Nicosia at Lapatsa Sporting Center and in Limassol at Elias Country Club. Horses and ponies can be hired in Troodos as well.
Cycling is encouraged by the excellent conditions prevailing in Cyprus as well as by the bicycle rental facilities available in the main towns and seaside resorts.
Fishing is an exciting sport with fishing shelters all over Cyprus.
