Look carefully for this nondescript warehouse, or you’ll miss it Once inside, though, you’ll be amazed at the number of reconditioned appliances on displayand at the prices too.
Mr. C found an Admiral side-by-side refrigerator/freezer, with an ice dispenser built into the door, selling for $559; it carried a one-year warranty, almost unheard-of in the secondhand biz. Most items here come with a 90-day store warranty, which is still about as good as you’ll find at any such store.
A few appliances are scratch & dents, not used, but perhaps scuffed a bit in transit; this can be a great way to save big. Other used machines noted were a Kenmore washer for $170; a Magic Chef electric range for just $130; and a Whirlpool trash compactor for the same price. These were all fairly recent and well-kept; you can also check out older models (some in that lovely avocado green) from $99 and up. AH repair work is done on the premises. Delivery is available at an extra charge. The store is open from 8 A.M. to 5 P.M. daily, except Sundays.
