CASCADE RIVER STATE PARK MAP MINNESOTA

2,813 acres. Cascade River State Park is located in the northeast corner of Minnesota, alongside Lake Superior and adjacent to Superior National Forest lands.

The park includes the Cascade River, several creeks, and the little Sawtooth Mountains, with nice views from 500 feet above Lake Superior. Deer, moose, and wolf are among the wildlife.

Activities: Hiking and backpacking are available on 18 miles of trails, including a section of the Superior Hiking Trail (see entry page 184). Cross-country skiing is possible on 17 miles of trails. Fishing is also available.

Camping Regulations: There are five backpack camping areas in the park. Camping and campfires are restricted to these designated areas.
