Maybe you didn’t need Mine to tell you this, but folks at Harvard are smart. Every June and July, the Harvard Summer School organizes a series of dance performances, related lectures, and movies. Almost all of these events are free and that’s pretty rare in the dance world.

The series of free performances are called One Night Stands. These are trysts you’re sure to enjoy, with no worries in the morning. Visiting dance companies often follow their performances with an open discussion with the audience. Lectures and panel discussions address issues pertinent to dancers’ lives.
The only part of the Dance Center’s season that will cost you anything is the faculty performance series. These events showcase better-known faculty members; tickets are $10 and $15, still not bad for this kind of performance.
