Boston’s Oldest Italian Restaurant, states the menu. Jeveli’s is indeed a big old family-style dining room, very casual, with ample portions of Italian food. They give you quite a lot to choose from. While most of the dinner entrees are in the $7-$10 range, you’ll come away stuffed.
Chicken marsala is a house specialty, served with a big, fresh salad and spaghetti for $8.50. Eggplant par-migiana is $7.75. Again, you get a lot. Seafood choices include baked stuffed shrimp with salad and spaghetti for $9.75, mussels marinara with linguine ($7.25), lobster pie ($10.95), and deep-fried squid ($7.75). The fish is fresh and light.
Pasta dishes are mostly in the $6 to $7 range, like baked manicotti ($6.50) and fettucine Alfredo ($6.95); going up to spaghetti with shrimp sauce ($8.75). There are, of course, daily specials along with everything else a recent one included shrimp, chicken, and broccoli over ziti for $9.95. Jeveli’s also has a pub side, with a lighter fare menu. It’s a big, sprawling place with meals to match. Open daily 11 a.m. to midnight.
