The Lawton Area is a metropolitan area that includes the city of Lawton and the surrounding towns of Borger, Duncan, Goodwell, and Hudson. The population of the area was estimated at 135,000 in 2016.
The Lawton Area is located in northeastern Oklahoma and is bordered by Kansas to the north, the Texas Panhandle to the east, and the Tulsa metropolitan area to the south. The region is known for its agricultural production and its oil and gas production.
